Erin Foraker

Erin Foraker leads the Science and Technology Program’s Power & Energy and Water Infrastructure research portfolios with objectives include increasing generation and water delivery, optimizing hydropower and water infrastructure systems, and improving the operational reliability and efficiency of hydropower generation and water infrastructure using new technologies or developing new technologies. She also is in charge of developing partnerships across the United States with both public and private entities and universities. Prior to joining the Research and Development Office, she held positions in Reclamation’s Power Resources Office developing hydropower policy, asset management strategies, power review and unexpected events programs. Her engineering roles include Reclamation’s Technical Services Center as an operations and maintenance engineer and the Tennessee Valley Authority as a senior mechanical engineer in the hydro modernization program. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Memphis and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Denver.
