Danielle Hanson is a Senior Regulatory Specialist with HDR Engineering, Inc., with more than 20 years specializing in all aspects of permitting, licensing, and compliance for hydropower projects regulated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).

Her expertise spans leading regulatory strategy, stakeholder engagement, environmental studies, and license implementation and compliance. She routinely participates in collaborative licensing and compliance processes, working closely with hydropower owners, state and federal agencies, Indian Tribes/Nations, and other stakeholders to evaluate project resources, address regulatory requirements, and develop measures that avoid, minimize, or mitigate potential impacts associated with the continued operation of hydropower facilities.
