The U.S. Department of Energy's Hydropower and Hydrokinetic Office (H2O) is seeking to understand the gaps and needs in stakeholder coordination (especially at the community and regional levels) for small- to medium-scale hydropower projects when it comes to basin-scale planning.
Workshop topics include:
1. Planning: Basin-scale planning of projects, initiatives, and/or implementation of innovative technologies
2. Energy Addition: Small hydropower development, adding hydropower to existing dams, expanding capacity of existing projects
3. Feasibility: Evaluation of new technologies
H2O invites hydropower project owners/operators, project developers, non-profits/NGOs, and other basin-scale planning stakeholders to attend this workshop to explore basin-scale planning, discussing common challenges and opportunities that the DOE H2O Office may use to scope future work in the area.
