Maxine Hillman

Maxine Hillman supports the U.S. Department of Energy’s Hydropower and Hydrokinetic Office leading the contracting team that performs the office’s communications and outreach activities. In this role, Maxine works with the team to set an annual communications and stakeholder engagement strategy, from editorial calendars to event preparation and execution. She helps to shape the narrative of the office and enables technical subject matter experts to better represent H2O with established topline messaging and other resources. She helps to coordinate stakeholder engagement efforts from feedback sessions to programmatic workshops. Maxine has been with the office since March 2021. Prior to joining the Hydropower and Hydrokinetic Office, Maxine worked in event production and management, informal children’s education, and the motion picture industry. She holds a Master of Arts in Sociology Research and Practices from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Latin Literature from the University of California, San Diego. Maxine works remotely from Los Angeles, CA.
