Betsy Stratton

Betsy Stratton is a Research Project Manager at the National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR), where she supports workforce development, education, and technical assistance programs across the renewable energy sector. Her work focuses primarily on water power and includes managing collegiate competitions, developing workforce and educational resources, supporting research, and building partnerships across industry, academia, and government. She also works to better understand workforce needs and create stronger connections between people, education, and careers in clean energy.

Betsy holds a master’s degree in geospatial sciences from the University of Denver and a bachelor’s degree in environmental policy from Colorado College.

Betsy is originally from Chicago and has lived in Colorado for more than 15 years. Outside of work, she enjoys live music, reading, snowboarding in the winter, hiking all seasons, crafts, and spending time outdoors (preferably with her dog, Gus, by her side).
