Hydropower Generation Program Leader at EPRI - Electric Power Research Institute
Francisco Kuljevan is a Sr. Principal Program Leader for Renewable Energy Research at EPRI. He leads the Hydropower Generation Program, which focuses on research for conventional and pumped storage hydropower asset management, performance and valuation optimization, technology development, and environmental challenges. Prior to joining EPRI, Francisco held various positions at Voith Hydro including, Hydraulic Engineer at Voith’s Research & Development group in Pennsylvania, U.S. and Germany, Technical Sales in Spain, and Offer Project Manager in Pennsylvania, U.S. His responsibilities ranged from hydraulic design, transient calculations, and testing of hydro turbines to defining proposal strategies related to the development of modernization proposals. He holds BS and MS degrees in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, an MBA, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Pennsylvania.
