Senior Program Manager, Energy and Water Systems Analysis at Idaho National Laboratory
Bo Saulsbury has nearly 40 years of broad project and program management and technical experience in environmental, regulatory, and policy analysis and resource optimization supporting the Department of Energy (DOE), Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), and Department of Defense (DOD).
He has worked in the DOE National Laboratory system since 1987, with stints at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (1987-2017), Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (2017-2023), and Idaho National Laboratory (2023-present).
Bo has managed and contributed to a variety of projects assessing the environmental, regulatory, and policy issues associated with hydropower, coal, and geothermal power plant and biorefinery construction and operation (DOE and FERC); nuclear power plant licensing and license renewal and in-situ leach uranium mining (NRC); the disposal of chemical weapons stockpiles and the deployment of battery energy storage systems (DOD); low-altitude military training flights (Air Force); and the U.S. Antarctic research program (National Science Foundation).
