Bjorn Lake

Bjorn has been a registered professional engineer since 2013 and has over 20 years of experience solving water resource problems using his diverse educational background and expertise.

Bjorn specializes in fish passage and aquatic connectivity. He manages and performs fish passage alternative analyses, designs, and evaluations including hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, public outreach, field measurements, site layout, and permitting coordination.

Bjorn has presented on and taught fish passage concepts and principles at numerous conferences and workshops over the last 15 years including authorship of engineering guidelines and peer-reviewed literature. In addition, he has extensive experience with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the hydroelectric industry.

Beyond fish passage, he has experience managing other ecological restoration projects and water quality studies related to rivers, lakes, and streams including the assessment and improvement of habitat quality.

Bjorn joined the Inter-Fluve team in March of 2026 after a decade of federal service at NOAA Fisheries and works out of our Cambridge, MA Office.
