Scott Hennessey

Scott Hennessey leads federal energy policy for Brookfield Renewable. Prior to his current role, Scott worked on federal energy, transportation and tax policy for Tesla and Tesla Energy (formerly SolarCity). Prior to his time at Tesla/SolarCity, Scott was Director of Legislative Affairs and General Counsel for the Solar Energy Industries Association. He began his career in D.C. as the Special Assistant to the Chairman of The Brattle Group. He received his JD from Boston College Law School and a BA in Politics from Oberlin College. Scott has previously served on the board of directors and the executive committee of the board for the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA). Currently, Scott is a member of the board of directors for the National Hydropower Association (NHA).
