The Hydropower Foundation is hosting its second Power Your Future Career Expo during the week of Clean Currents, with the objective of connecting industry professionals with students from local universities, trade schools, and community colleges who are interested in careers aligned with water power.
This year's Expo takes place at Arizona State University (ASU), Tempe campus, on Tuesday, September 22, from 1:30-4:00 PM.
The Hydropower Foundation is looking for industry professionals to volunteer to interact with students as they come and go to the Expo throughout the afternoon. If you are interested in participating, you have two options:
1. Be a career discipline representative in the "Career Exploration" portion of the Expo -- the Hydropower Foundation is looking for industry professionals to represent their career discipline and discuss their career paths. Needed are representatives from the following disciplines:
-- Administration & HR
-- Business & Finance
-- Construction & Skilled Trades
-- Data Science & Cybersecurity
-- Engineering & Hydrology
-- Environmental Science
-- Legal
-- Operations & Maintenance
-- Project Management
2. Set up a table for your organization in the "Career Ready" section of the Expo -- at the table, you can discuss open positions and your organization itself (less of an emphasis on your career path). This is recommended for companies that have more than a few people who would like to participate.
Please contact: emily@hydrofoundation.org if you would like to participate!
