The National Hydropower Association’s Pumped Storage Development Council is hosting a Pumped Storage Forum open to any Clean Currents attendee.
The purpose of this Forum is for representatives of any organizations pursuing the development of pumped storage projects to participate in an open discussion to share and learn from one another.
The objective is to provide opportunity for informal discussion/sharing of current challenges being faced by project development teams regarding:
— Revenue recovery challenges
— Supply chain challenges
— Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) funding application processes and impacts on project development
— Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) licensing challenges
— Permitting and environmental
— Local involvement/support for projects
— Benchmarking construction costs
