David Culligan

Dave is a renewable energy advocate dedicated to the advancement of clean, renewable hydropower. Dave is a Vice President and Hydropower Practice Leader at HDR, with prior experience at Brookfield Renewable and Niagara Mohawk. Over his 33 year career as both owner and consultant, Dave has led numerous FERC relicensings and been deeply involved in all facets of conventional hydropower and pumped storage projects ranging from new project development, upgrades, operations modeling, economic analysis, environmental and engineering studies and regulatory matters. Dave also served as the collaborative link between the Department of Energy and the National Hydropower Association in the development of the landmark DOE Hydropower Vision Report. Dave is a registered professional engineer, an avid cyclist and he and his family live in Syracuse, New York. He is a former member of the Board of Directors for the National Hydropower Association (NHA), as well as the Treasurer of the NHA Board.
