Christopher Eden is a Professional Electrical Engineer with Stantec who has spent 16 years in the Hydropower industry as a consulting engineer. He is licensed in 9 states as well as BC, Canada. He has passion for major construction projects, with a specific interest in Hydropower, and has had the opportunity to support large projects globally. During his career, Chris has had the opportunity to support complex engineering projects. Chris specializes in design, construction, and redevelopment of hydroelectric powerhouses, dams and spillways, conveyance systems, headworks and outlet works facilities. He has been involved in many different aspects of electrical systems on a wide variety of hydroelectric power plants and water resources projects. His experience also has a strong focus in medium and low voltage distribution of electrical power as well as many different aspects of control and instrumentation systems. In the past 16 years he has been involved in projects that focus on hydro rehabilitation for projects that have significant issues due to age, condition and/or performance of existing equipment.
