Abe Schneider

Abe Schneider is co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Natel Energy, where he leads the company's technical teams, overseeing hydraulic design and fish passage testing for Natel's FishSafe Restoration Hydro Turbine designs. Prior to co-founding Natel Energy in 2009 with his sister, Gia, Abe worked as a mechanical engineer for both large firms such as The Timken Company and innovative startups including Makani Power, which was later acquired by Google.

Abe developed and holds numerous engineering and design patents and has authored and contributed to several peer-reviewed publications on hydropower and FishSafe turbine design. Abe earned his undergraduate and master's degrees in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
