Drawing from real-world experience with generators, governors, turbines, and transformers, several subject matter experts in this 2-hour seminar will offer insights and tools for enhancing performance of equipment and managing risk, along the entire spectrum of equipment -- from factory acceptance to mechanical design to contingency planning and finally to startup optimization.
Participants will learn:
? Ways to reduce commissioning risk, improve planning accuracy, and ultimately save time and money
? Various choices for operating a Kaplan runner without oil
? A new methodology to optimize the start-up sequence of a Francis runner during the design phase and to predict the associate expected transient dynamic stresses
Featured Presentations in this Seminar:
? Litostroj Experience with Oilless Kaplan Hubs, presented by Wagner Vanci and Simon Krotec, Litostroj
? Francis runner start-up sequence optimization for minimized dynamic fatigue, presented by Christine Monette, Andritz
? Hydro Governor Hardware in Loop - Enhancing Factory Acceptance and Simulations for Generator Owners, presented by Eric See-Toh, Powertech Labs
