Shoreline management sits at the intersection of regulatory compliance, public access, environmental stewardship, and community relations — and it is getting more complicated. Climate variability is intensifying erosion and reservoir fluctuation challenges. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) relicensing is increasingly mandating formal Shoreline Management Plans. Recreational demand on project lands is rising, and with it, public expectations and liability exposure. Meanwhile, encroachment management and lease administration are straining O&M resources at facilities across the United States.
This roundtable takes a hot topics approach — a peer-to-peer exchange on the issues that are keeping shoreline managers, licensing teams, and project lands coordinators up at night. No presentations, no slides — just the people in the room sharing what they are dealing with and what is actually working.
Whether you are deep in a relicensing process, managing a backlog of encroachments, or trying to get ahead of climate-driven erosion, this is your room. Come ready to share, ask, and connect with peers facing the same challenges.
