This Wednesday plenary session is packed full of information, insights, and inspiration!
The session features:
--- The leader of the Salt River Project (SRP), the official host of Clean Currents. SRP is a community-based, not-for-profit organization providing reliable, affordable and sustainable water and energy to more than 2 million people in central Arizona. SRP operates 260 MW of hydropower.
-- An executive from the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Critical Minerals and Energy Innovation (CMEI). This office focuses every day on advancing the research, development, commercialization, and deployment of water power to strengthen U.S. energy systems and help reduce energy costs for American consumers.
-- Insight on the exciting developments when it comes to advocating for water power with the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives
-- Unveiling of this year's winner of NHA's "Rising Star" award -- this award recognizes an early-career professional with 3 to 10 years of total professional experience, who demonstrates not only ongoing leadership, but a commitment to grow their career and leadership roles within the water power industry.
-- Announcement of the recipient of the Julie A. Keil Women in Hydro Scholarship
-- Measurable progress in our collective vision to have hydropower universally recognized as a premier career path, attracting and retaining outstanding professionals.
