Andrew Freigang

Andrew Freigang serves as Special Advisor in the Office of Critical Minerals and Energy Innovation (CMEI) at the U.S. Department of Energy. In this role, he advises the Office of Energy Technology, which advances the research, development, commercialization, and deployment of innovative energy and transportation technologies, fuels, chemicals, and hydropower to strengthen U.S. energy systems and help reduce energy costs for American consumers.

Before joining CMEI, Mr. Freigang supported Senator Cynthia Lummis through the Senate Western Caucus, where he coordinated policy priorities across the Caucus's 29 member offices. Earlier in his career, he served as a legislative aide in the Michigan House of Representatives.

Mr. Freigang holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Michigan.
