The "Innovation Power House" space is in the center of "CC: Central" – CC: Central is the main floor of the event containing exhibits, education session space, and lunch area.

The Innovation Power House is home to three exciting features occurring throughout Wednesday, October 20, and Thursday, October 21:

1 TechnologyAndInnovation2

Technology and Innovation Exchanges every 30 minutes in the Innovation Demonstration stations.

2 MeetAndGreets2

Meet and Greets – More than 20 scheduled opportunities for informal discussions with Hydro Asset Owners as well as Leaders in Waterpower, Renewable Energy, and Electricity Supply who are making decisions and providing leadership in waterpower and electric power.

3 IOdeationCreation3

Ideation Creation – every attendee is invited to get involved in a fun, innovative process of generating ideas for next-generation research, development, and deployment. Industry and government can use the generated ideas to help shape priorities and funding for the future.

Technology and Innovation Exchanges at the Demonstration Stations

The Innovation Power House will be a hub for discussions about and demonstrations of innovative, cutting-edge technologies, including those being used in industries other than waterpower, but have application for conventional hydropower, pumped storage, and/or marine energy.

These technologies, if applied in the waterpower industry, could aid in solving tough technical-, operations-, and power supply market design-related challenges and move the industry forward.

Every 30 minutes, attendees can join an informal “Technology and Innovation Exchange” in an Innovation Demonstration Station. See what forward-thinking experts are working on and thinking about … and brainstorm how their ideas could be brought to life through application in the waterpower industry. Informal interaction with demonstrators and experts provides powerful opportunities for personalized learning and exploring.

Organized Networking with Leaders and Influencers in the ‘Meet and Greet’ Area

The Innovation Power House also will feature scheduled appearances by leaders of utilities, federally owned generators, developers, financiers, government agencies, and academia in the “Meet and Greet” area. These leaders will be on hand to personally meet attendees and share their projects and progress related to innovation, technology advances, and infrastructure investment, and how they are bringing innovation in a variety of forms to the forefront in this industry.

This is the only waterpower industry event offering scheduled access for all attendees – including exhibitors — to meet these leaders, decision-makers, and influencers.

Benefits to Attendee:
