J.-Francois Corbeil

J.-François Corbeil is a mechanical Professional Engineer specializing in hydropower, with more than two decades of experience in the design, operation, maintenance and management of hydroelectric generating stations. Throughout his career, he has overseen a portfolio of 40 generating stations—38 hydroelectric plants and 2 cogeneration plants—across Canada and the United States. He has also played a key role in multiple mergers and acquisitions (M&A) involving hydro asset, providing technical and operational expertise throughout transaction evaluations and integration activities.

As Principal Consultant in hydropower, J.-François supports clients in addressing a wide range of hydro turbine and generator challenges. His expertise includes equipment health and condition assessments, root cause failure analyses, equipment modernization and upgrade evaluations, technical due diligence, emerging technology assessments, and the development of operation and maintenance (O&M) strategies, plans, and procedures.
