Bret Hoffman

Bret Hoffman is a Senior Engineering Consultant and has worked at Kleinschmidt for 24 years. He specializes in conducting energy evaluations for hydro development in support of hydro plant equipment upgrade evaluations, mechanical system designs and equipment selection, feasibility evaluations for new development, and due diligence evaluations for the acquisition and sale of existing projects.

He conducts site visits for project condition assessments for hydro stations; develops specifications and performs bid evaluations for water-to-wire hydroelectric equipment; develops specifications and assists with selection and application of lifting equipment; and designs pump and piping and HVAC systems.

Bret also provides Federal Energy Regulatory Commission-related licensing and compliance assistance, working closely with Kleinschmidt’s environmental and licensing groups on issues related to project operations.
