Guy Lund

Mr. Guy S. Lund is a professional civil engineer with over 45 years of experience in dam safety, design, and analysis. He began his career as a design engineer on numerous spillways, water conveyance systems, and outlet works.

He has over 40 years of experience in the structural design and analysis of concrete dams (i.e., gravity, arch and buttress types), including advanced non-linear numerical analysis. Over the past decades, Mr. Lund has worked with potential failure modes and risk analysis and has facilitated and participated as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) related to structural, hydraulic structures, and concrete dams.

He is an instructor with the USSD Best Practices and hosts the ASDSO course for analysis of concrete gravity dams. He is a FERC Independent Consultant, and is considered a leader in the design, analysis, and evaluation of concrete dam behavior.
