Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Markets at National Hydropower Association (NHA)
As Vice President of Regulatory Affairs & Markets, Kathleen is responsible for shaping, advancing, and executing NHA’s regulatory and markets strategy. Kathleen brings 20 years of experience shaping policy, federal affairs, and energy strategy across utilities and trade associations. Highlights of her career include shaping major first-time federal regulation of power plant air pollutants, securing state-level support for existing nuclear plants, and elevating the role of nuclear generation as a zero-carbon resource. Her experience also includes supporting investor relations teams, representing clean power in DOE consultations on grid security and resilience, ensuring nuclear and renewables were included in high-level national security discussions, and transforming board engagement and governance.
Prior to NHA, Kathleen has served in a variety of policy roles at the intersection of clean energy, policy and business, including Exelon/Constellation, American Clean Power (ACP), and M.J. Bradley & Associates. She is a proud alumna of the University of Virginia (Go Hoos) and Columbia University. Kathleen enjoys travel, hiking, and spending time with her dog Nero and nieces and nephews.
