Sangeet Karna

Sangeet Karna is a Senior Hydro-Mechanical Engineer at AECOM with more than 15 years of experience in the hydropower industry, specializing in high-head hydropower projects. His expertise spans hydromechanical equipment design, construction supervision, commissioning, plant operations, and pumped storage hydropower development.

Prior to joining AECOM in 2024, Sangeet spent 12 years in Nepal leading multidisciplinary teams and overseeing the delivery of mechanical, hydromechanical, and electromechanical works throughout the full project lifecycle, from design and manufacturing to installation, testing and commissioning, and operation.

At AECOM, he contributes to hydromechanical equipment design, penstock rehabilitation, and pumped storage hydropower projects. His professional interests include hydropower modernization, variable-speed turbine technologies, and innovative solutions that enhance the reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of renewable energy infrastructure.
