Clint Kalich

Clint Kalich is an Energy Resources Planning Advisor at Avista Utilities with more than 30 years of experience in utility resource planning, optimization, and regulatory strategy. He spent over two decades managing Avista’s electric and natural gas planning teams and serves as the Company’s expert witness on power supply in all major regulatory proceedings.

Clint has recently led key elements of Avista’s integration into the CAISO Energy Imbalance Market and Extended Day-Ahead Market, as well as the Company’s response to new environmental policies in Oregon and Washington, including CPP, CEIP, and the Climate Commitment Act.

Today he supports planning, trading, environmental compliance, and regulatory strategy across Energy Supply. Clint is also the creator and commercialization lead for the Avista Decision Support System (ADSS), a digital‑twin platform for utility planning and operational optimization.
