Mechanical Engineer; Resource Economic Planner, Generating Asset Management at Bonneville Power Administration (BPA)

Micah has worked in hydropower generating asset management at the Bonneville Power Administration since 2020. As a co-chair of the Federal Columbia Power System Asset Planning Team, he works with counterparts at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Northwestern Division and U.S. Bureau of Reclamation Columbia-Pacific Northwest Region to develop a long term capital investment plan for 31 federally owned multipurpose hydroelectric projects, with a total generation capacity of over 22 GW, targeting $300 million in annual investments. He has a BS in physics and MS in mechanical engineering, previously worked on the development experimental physics instrumentation, and on drinking water and sanitation access projects in rural Panama as a Peace Corps volunteer.
