Manager, Hydro Engineering at NorthWestern Energy
Carrie Harris is a Professional Civil Engineer and a 1993 graduate of Montana State University. After graduation, Carrie began her career as a staff hydro engineer with Montana Power Company. From 1999 to 2014, she worked on hydro projects with PPL Montana. Currently, Carrie is employed at NorthWestern Energy, where she serves as the Manager of Hydro Engineering. In this role, Carrie and her team are primarily responsible for managing the FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission) Dam Safety Program and implementing capital projects on the dams. Outside of work, Carrie and her husband, Kip, reside in Boulder, Montana, on 40 acres in the Elkhorn Mountains. She enjoys outdoor activities with her husband and adult children, including spending time at the family lake cabin, fishing, snowmobiling, and hunting.
