Stefan Kohnen

Stefan Kohnen is a Principal and Regional Manager for the Toronto office of KGS Group, a consulting engineering firm with a broad range of services to the waterpower industry in Canada and the US. He is a dedicated believer in the value of small hydro within the waterpower world and has written articles and spoken widely in Canada and the US on approaches and case studies in the development of small hydro. He has recently been focused on the redevelopment needs of the large number of heritage sites that are now passing their centenary throughout North America. He has held leadership roles in the development and redevelopment of eight small hydro generating stations in the last 10 years and has many lessons learned to share.
