Debbie Gray

Debbie Gray is Senior Energy Policy Manager at the International Hydropower Association. She manages the G-res Tool – the carbon calculator for reservoirs – and works to promote hydropower as a solution to climate change. She led the team that studied women’s representation in the hydropower sector, and is developing a Gender program to encourage more women to join and feel welcome in the sector. She also leads IHA membership engagement and development in North America. Debbie is a professional engineer who has worked for over 25 years in the fields of energy and sustainable development, including a lengthy career at Hydro-Québec. Her extensive experience related to hydropower generation includes pollution control, environmental management, energy efficiency, plant modernization and the recognition of the benefits of hydropower.
