Clean Currents 2023

Tim Huffman

Tim has been with Duke Energy for 42 years. In the last 25 years Tim has managed over half a billion dollars in power plant projects from concept to engineering through to construction and commissioning involving turbines, tunnels, plant rehabilitations, twenty story high precipitators and other plant elements in between. Most recently he initiated and led the U1-4 Bad Creek Pump Turbine and Generator Replacement project through the demolition and construction of the first unit. Currently, Tim is leading the diversion of the Catawba River at the Great Falls – Dearborn Reservoir in South Carolina and is in position to assume the Lake Wateree SC Flood Control Project this fall. Tim is a 1980 Civil Engineering graduate of North Carolina State University, a Professional Engineer in North and South Carolina and a PMI Certified Project Management Professional.
