Andrew Munro

Andrew joined Grant County PUD in 2007 and currently works on the utility’s long-term power supply. Previously, he led Grant PUD’s external affairs, corporate communications, governmental and regulatory activities, policies administration and records management. In addition, he has directed the utility’s electric transmission and distribution engineering operations, telecommunications, wholesale fiber-optic and wireless networks, customer service, and energy conservation divisions. Andrew is a skilled leader and strategist with over 25 years of experience in transforming innovative business, government, and non-profit industries. Prior to joining Grant PUD, Andrew managed external affairs at Chelan PUD, served on the professional staff for U.S. Represenative Norm Dicks, directed business development for Onvia.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: ONVI), and received a White House appointment holding positions of regional administrator and regional advocate for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) in Region 10 (Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington). Andrew was born in Washington, DC and raised in Wenatchee, Washington. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Washington (UW), where he also played four years as a wide receiver on the varsity football team. He is most proud to be Dad of five daughters, two sons, and one granddaughter. In his “spare” time, Andrew enjoys the theatre and acting, and has performed various lead roles, including Shakespeare’s Hamlet.
