The ASME Hydro Power Technical Committee (HPTC) is welcoming new members and reviewers to help update The Guide to Hydropower Mechanical Design. Whether you have 10+ years of experience and want to review chapters, or you are a newcomer looking to learn and network, come introduce yourself at our informal Clean Currents coordination meeting.
The HPTC provides a forum for collaborative knowledge exchange among peers, as well as transferring expertise from veteran engineers to the next generation.
The HPTC is a technical committee under the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). This society promotes the art, science and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe.
Founded in 1880, ASME is a not-for-profit professional organization that enables collaboration, knowledge sharing and skill development across all engineering disciplines, while promoting the vital role of the engineer in society. ASME codes and standards, publications, conferences, continuing education, and professional development programs provide a foundation for advancing technical knowledge and a safer world.
