In light of the Biden Administration’s goal of a net-zero carbon grid by 2035, panelists share perspectives on how hydropower’s flexible operations can facilitate low-carbon variable generation (wind and solar).
While previous discussions of this issue have been qualitative in nature, panelists will share first-ever quantitative analyses of the importance of hydropower’s flexibility on both a national and regional scale, followed by a discussion of future analyses that may be of value.
