This demonstration will highlight a series of recent fishway technology innovations that were researched and developed at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Eastern Ecological Science Center S.O. Conte Research Laboratory.
The technologies aimed to improve entry and passage at fishways and were developed through experiments with live, actively migrating fish.
Novel technologies to be highlighted include a fishway entrance, an auxiliary water system design, and a fish ladder.
