Marla Barnes

Marla J. Barnes joined NHA in May of 2020 as Senior Director of Industry Collaboration. She started her career with HCI Publications, which launched and owned the event HYDROVISION International. In 2008, HCI sold its assets, including HYDROVISION and Hydro Review magazine, to PennWell Corporation. At that time, Marla joined PennWell to manage the hydro portfolio. While at PennWell, her management responsibilities expanded to include global event, media, and educational offerings in hydro, electric power generation and municipal water. In 2018, PennWell was sold to Clarion Events, where Marla worked as the vice president of the hydro portfolio.
