Alejandro Gonzalez is a Technical Director and Hydropower Leader at GHD Australia. With more than 20 years of international experience, he has played a leading role in the development and delivery of major hydropower and pumped storage projects across Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and South America. His expertise spans across project planning, design management, and technical leadership, with extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams through all phases of project development and delivery.

Throughout his career, Alejandro has helped developers, contractors and utilities to deliver hydropower solutions that balance technical excellence, sustainability, and long-term operational performance. He is passionate about the role of hydropower and pumped storage in supporting a reliable energy future.

Having worked on projects from both owner and consultant perspectives, Alejandro brings a practical understanding of how risks could be managed and shared among stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.
