John Wiley

John Wiley is a Fish and Wildlife Biologist with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and currently serves as the Acting Northeast Regional Hydropower Coordinator. He specializes in federal hydropower regulation, including Federal Energy Regulatory Commission licensing, relicensing, compliance, and fish passage.

During more than 15 years with the Service, John has worked with federal and state agencies, hydropower owners, engineers, researchers, and other stakeholders on aquatic resource issues at hydropower projects throughout the Northeast.

His work includes evaluating emerging fish passage technologies and developing science-based approaches for their consideration within the federal regulatory process.
