Dave Dempsey

Dave Dempsey is a Lead Power Generation Mechanical Engineer with several years of experience delivering reliable, carbon‑free and emerging energy solutions across hydro, nuclear, gas, geothermal, hydrogen, and battery storage technologies.

At Grant County PUD, he leads major new‑generation initiatives, building business cases for SMRs, gas generation assets, Geothermal exploration, and large‑scale BESS deployments. He also has a wide range of experience managing multimillion-dollar capital projects and contracts across many different generation assets. Dave holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University.
