Wagner Vanci

Wagner Vanci, MSc., P.E., is an Engineering Manager at Litostroj US with 23 years of engineering experience, including 19 years in the hydropower industry. Throughout his career, he has held engineering and leadership roles with Litostroj, Black & Veatch, Andritz Hydro, and Voith Hydro, contributing to hydroelectric projects across the Americas and Europe.

His work has included the design, rehabilitation, and modernization of hydroelectric equipment and hydro-mechanical systems, including turbines, gates, valves, penstocks, and lifting devices. Wagner has supported projects through all stages of execution, from concept development and detailed engineering to manufacturing, installation, and commissioning. Earlier in his career, he also worked in the aerospace industry, contributing to aircraft structural engineering and quality programs.

Wagner holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of São Paulo, is a licensed Professional Engineer in the US and Brazil. He is an active member of ASME and has participated in standards review and development activities through ABNT/IEC committees, contributing to industry practices and technical standards.

Drawing from experiences across different technologies, organizations, and project environments, Wagner enjoys exchanging lessons learned with fellow professionals and exploring practical approaches to the challenges facing hydropower today.
